It addresses the question which OP asked... was it the fault of SM or 
server? Basically it's impossible to know without further info, so a brief 
discussion of the various possibilities seems appropriate.

Many questioners do not interact with the answerers if they found a 
solution, or if their interest waned, or if the answerers were discourteous, 
etc. The proper role of respondents is to make the questioner feel 
comfortable while answering as well as possible, then the questioner is more 
likely to interact. Sometimes the problem is solved, sometimes not...
