Sounds like the js was not downloaded correctly, try shift+reload on the
page. Perhaps you have a slow internet connection?
I doubt that's the problem. For one thing, another user in this thread
reported the same error, but he could view the map. For another, my FiOS
connection generally supports downloads of 25 MB or so per minute. I
routinely download 400-500 MB movie clips in 15-20 minutes without error.
Since I have this trouble but others with the same version of SM do not,
it seems unlikely to be a problem with the site and is more likely an
issue with my settings, corruption of some configuration or program
file, etc.
I do use AdBlock Plus, so I tried disabling it -- first for the site
alone, then globally -- and reloading the page, but it didn't help. ABP
reports blocking over a hundred items on this page, but unblocking them
didn't reveal the map.
Well the idea that VEMap is a variable in the file, on that site, and an
error like that will terminate script execution sounds like it *IS* that
issue.
OK, so how do you account for the visitors who /can/ view the map? Are
their copies of SM 2.0.14 magically immune to the error?
A corrupt download of the .js file specified could do that too. Try the
shift+reload please.
Been there, done that. Several times. I've visited the site probably 20
times since we've been discussing this -- what do you think are the
chances that each and every time, this particular js file was corrupted
in transit?
