I am back in 2.0.14, but at my next attempt I'll see into your advice.

Even before updating, I didn't have a bookmarks.html file.
As far as I remember some comment, it is not used anymore and all is in one
place, places.sqlite.
Thus such a file can maybe grow considerably.
