Thank you. What happened I think is that I was looking in a FireFox profile, while thinking I was in the SeaMonkey one. As I had a very recent bookmarks.html elsewhere, I did an import in SeaMonkey 2.2 and I got my bookmarks, as well as a bookmarks.html file, which is in the same directory as the places.sqlite.
