If you accept the in-dialog upgrade from SeaMonkey, "for now" you do need to go to 2.2. (This won't always be the case though, I just don't have the new ->2.3 upgrade ready yet)
If you go to our website and download/install 2.3 you should be just fine, and don't need to do 2.2's upgrade first.
