A hypothesis : you were using Seamonkey on a site that launches
pop-up browser windows with all navigation aids dismantled;
while that window had focus, you pressed Ctrl-L and then
typed something along the lines of C:\My-photographs <enter>.
The window then displayed the contents of that folder without
providing any obvious means of exit.  Possible ?
