Somehow a plain window got created with the folder name at the top followed by
a list of all the file names in the folder. I could drag the entire window to
the top or left side. You could click on any of the file names and display the
file (actually photos).
I have no idea how this got created. I knew the folder as I had been using it
off and on in couple of programs. I couldn't find a way to close or otherwise
get rid of this thing. After messing around with it a while, I right clicked
and got a choice to close the window. I think it referred to it as a toolbar
It did not disappear when closing and restarting Windows.
Anyone know anything about this unusual occurrence?
A hypothesis : you were using Seamonkey on a site that launches
pop-up browser windows with all navigation aids dismantled;
while that window had focus, you pressed Ctrl-L and then
typed something along the lines of C:\My-photographs<enter>.
The window then displayed the contents of that folder without
providing any obvious means of exit. Possible ?

I don't think so, Phil.
