They ran fine on Firefox 6.0.2, and on IE9, and on a recent version of
Iron, and on Opera. But not on Seamonkey.
I thought that it might be NoScript; I disabled it and restarted
Seamonkey. No dice.
Has anybody else ran into this issue, or is it something in my setup?
Interesting. It turns out that turning on the "Advertise Firefox
Compatibility" option fixed the problem.
In fact, I noticed *other* differences when I turn on/off Firefox
compatibility. Things that you only get when compatibility is turned on:
- an extra "+You" button (for Plus) at the left end of the black toolbar
(Google Translate gets moved from the bar to the "More" menu to make room).
- The ability to upload a sample image in Image Search
- Possibly more?
So... I commented yesterday that Google seems to be doing something
right on browser-sniffing on Plus. If so, they sure aren't doing the
same thing on their other services.
Yes, it's another case of sniffing for "Firefox" instead of "Gecko".
It didn't work for me either with SM 2.1.14 until I spoofed Safari, but
when I did the links below the buttons vanished.
