2.3.3, but that clears up my confusion immensely.
Maybe a screen shot of his problem would help.
Rather than a screenshot, here are two interesting messages in mozilla.test.

Those messages are the 1st and 3rd in this thread in GG
http://groups.google.com/group/mozilla.test/browse_thread/thread/c32029d25f08c3d9?hl=en#
It looks to me like Stanimir has implemented some kind of patch or alpha
version of SM 2.6a1 to reply to his post with Tb 8.0a2.
In any case, it looks like SM 2.6a1 can properly implement f=f replies
and retain the trailing spaces in the quoted material.
If your SM is configured as the default to display f=f wrapping to the
window, then when you read the messages in the .test group you will see
that the 2nd message shows that the quoted content flows as it is
supposed to.
If you examine the message source of the 2nd message and use your cursor
to see whether or not there is a space at the end of the lines which are
within a par, you will see that there is a space there.
That is also the way my Tb 2.0.0.24 works which f=f implementation of
handling quoted f=f content was lost in Tb3 and which has stayed lost
for many versions and bug report history.
