Hi WLS:
Normally the window opens with my last used symbol so I just click the
two buttons from left to right:
Insert then Close. But now in SM 2.4 there are no symbols and the Close
button does not work, so "X" is the last resort.

How do you get it to close?
It opens, I see nothing in the drop-down boxes for Letter or Character.
Clicking Close doesn't close the Insert Character pop-up window, nor
does Insert.
X works.
