Once you have copied

C:\documents and settings\david\application data\Mozilla\SeaMonkey\Profiles\ot85ufde.default\Mail

to somewhere else for safety, I would recommend just going through
the "New e-mail account" wizard, giving it all of your standard
data, and then, when the wizard has finished, using :

Edit / Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings /
<Your new account> / Server Settings /
            Local Directory / Browse ...

and then browse to

C:\documents and settings\david\application data\Mozilla\SeaMonkey\Profiles\ot85ufde.default\Mail

I almost have tears in my eyes; that did work. The issue is that I have a few pop3 accounts and I was able to copy the appropriate files containing the email messages back into the main default mail profile folder and tell Seamonkey which file to use within that folder such as verizon-2.net, verizon-3.net, etc. I have a little bit of work to do but it is definitely fixable. I cannot thank you enough.
