A friend send me a mail with a link inside his mail.
He is using Outlook 11.
The offending mail part is:
----------------------------------
Chers Amies et Amis randonneurs,
Infos sur le site www.arpernaz.be
Les renseignements de la rando à Erezée (5fév)
----------------------------------
The link is www.arpenaz.be.
When i pass the mouse over the link, i got an information box
showing me
the text present in the subject line of this post.
When i click on the link - nothing happens; i cannot go to the site
www.arpenaz.be.
When i right-click the link and i choice "open link in new window"
an SM
Browser window open with the url:
blocked::blocked::http://www.arpernaz.be/
and the site is not visible.
If then i remove the blocked::blocked:: out of the url and depress the
"Enter" key, i can reach the site.
----------------------------------
What can i do to solve this problem ?
SeaMonkey reports that the domain www.arpenaz.be does not exist. I
tried a DNS lookup outside of SeaMonkey and got the same result: no
such
domain.
Sure. But www.arpeRnaz.be does exist, and I can go there by clicking the
OP's links where he spells them correctly. Whatever software is blocking
him is not SM.
No software is blocking me ... If you receive a mail with a link
location containing the text "blocked::blocked::http://www.arpernaz.be/"
you will not able to use this link by clicking on it using SM.The
problem is because the link location text is preceded by "blocked::"
sometimes repeated more than twice.
I accessed it just fine by clicking it in your message. My SM 2.5
ignored the "blocked::" and took me straight to the website.
No !!!! i access it also by clicking on a link in my message, this is
because i *cannot* create a link where the link location contains a
string composed of a normal link with added some "blocked::" string
before it.
