Also, for email reply, how do I get SeaMonkey to put the quoted
text at the BOTTOM not the top of the message? I am willing to
abide by what I consider an illogical preference of most in News
Groups to have the reply under the quoted text and I have done
it this way for years although I far prefer OE's way of doing it.
However, I refuse in my private email to have the quoted text at
the top.
Account Settings> Composition & Addressing
Logically, it belongs at the bottom with the reply at the top.
Not logically. Some of us prefer not to read upsidedown.
Top-posters tend to not trim, either.
Please trim signatures. If you were using SeaMonkey for news instead of
Outlook Express, it would occur automatically, because of the "-- "
delimiter.

Ahh...I didn't think about looking in Accounts for the setting. Thank
you!
There are many settings in an email client. One only needs to browse for
them, most times. You're welcome.
The reason it seems to me that the quote should be at the bottom is
because I already read the message that I am replying to. Why do I
need to read it again? When I get an email from someone I am having a
conversation with, I don't need to read the entire conversation again
which is what is implied if the conversation is quoted on the top. It
is a waste of my time to scroll way down to the new email message.
All that has gone before should be at the bottom, for the record, if
you ever need to refer to it but normally you won't need to. All you
need to see is the latest reply so it should be at the top for
efficiency's sake. Just my opinion.
If you don't need to read it again, why not just snip it off altogether
then? After all, you have the received email to view any time you choose.
Are any of your correspondents blind? Even the blind prefer proper
judicious trimming and inline or bottom posting.
