What you describe might be a symptom of invalid sniffing for your user
agent (UA).  See my <http://www.rossde.com/internet/sniffing.html>.

You might also consider updating to a newer version of SeaMonkey.  The
newest versions have automatic spoofing of Firefox.  If you don't like
such spoofing, you can turn it off.
