Almost everywhere I go on the Internet, a new Shock Wave Plug In is

I tried on about 4 months ago and it screwed up my system.
I wrote a post here about how to remove it - and I did get back
to a working system.
Can somebody give me some advice on how to download this Shock Wave
Plug
In and not have it cause problems ?
I can't do much anymore, but I am worried that downloading it will
cause more problems....

What you describe might be a symptom of invalid sniffing for your user
agent (UA). See my<http://www.rossde.com/internet/sniffing.html>.
You might also consider updating to a newer version of SeaMonkey. The
newest versions have automatic spoofing of Firefox. If you don't like
such spoofing, you can turn it off.
Not to go off subject here, where do you find the option to turn
spoofing of Firefox on or off?
Danny
Preferences-Advanced-HTTP Networking Bottom of the that screen uncheck
Advertise Firefox compatibility.
Thank you!
