To my knowledge, this is currently not possible. We should probably change the default to Unsorted Bookmarks for all possible entry channels (AFAIK, currently that folder is only used when using the bookmark icon on the location bar).
I'll now try my luck on bug 588807 first (to add Unsorted Bookmarks to the Bookmarks menu), then continue my quest for one true default File Bookmark(s) folder.
