Jens, if you frequent the web authoring groups, such as comp.infosystems.www.authoring.stylesheets - you would find mixed opinions about most anything from w3schools.com
If anyone asks, they are *not* related to the W3C in any way. It might be okay as a reference but only for people who already know their way around. Better one (HTML and CSS) is:
