SeaMonkey have removed this annoying feature .....why would you

Because some of us had our own CUSTOM "Splash Screens" and we miss
seeing them. And as the page says, you don't know if you've properly
clicked on the link because it takes considerably longer to load. The
splash screen used to come up IMMEDIATELY letting you know that the
program is initializing and to "please be patient."
Are you in a so hurry situation that you need to know immediately that
you double-click on the link ... personally i do a single click followed
by a punch on the "Enter" key, so i know before you that i started SM.
