In the last week or so, when I have clicked on a Usenet link to view a
video (any video) at youTube, I get the video but no sound. Don't know
when this started, as I'm just catching up on my Usenet groups.
If I watch a video that I've downloaded from elsewhere, I get sound,
when I shut down this computer, I get the usual "ping", just no sound
from youTube!!
Anybody got any suggestions for me?
Maybe the volume on the youtube player is down.
Default volume on this site is 100%, so if that's the issue, clearing
browser and flash cookies should solve it.
The OP should mouse over the volume control and make sure the red bar
(slider) is not set to the leftmost position and the speaker icon
doesn't have a slash through it ("mute").
If the problem is peculiar to this site, it must not be related to the
system volume controls. I agree that reinstalling Flash should be the
next step.
