Hello Everybody, just to let you know: I created a new profile, and now the freezes on Javascript-heavy sites are gone, also Seamonkey feels a bit faster overall now.
So, despite "everything working fine", it's probably still recommended to create a new profile after a handful of upgrades. Creating a new profile is not as painful as it used to be, thanks to to the "sync", but of course it's an ugly experience, especially with the many mail settings...
