I'm getting reminders from long dismissed calendar items when I start
Seamonkey. Dozens of them, and neither "dismiss all" or "dismiss" will
remove them from my screen. This started with 2.0.14, and persisted
through 2.7.2. I have gone as far as I am willing on "try the next
version, that will fix it" and would like some advice on actually
addressing the issue.

Unwilling to move to 2.8 until add-on updates are available for stuff I
use all the time.

Bill,

I don't have an answer for your Calendar. You might look into the
Calendar development Team and see if they have resolution.

I don't blame you one bit for not upgrading to the next version, I had
to revert to 2.3.0 to get all my Ad-Ons to function. No more updates
until the SM Team fixes all the Ad-Ons that once worked with 2.0.
Hacking the install.rdf file only fixed one Ad-On.

Michael, if you brought yourself a new Ford and then brought yourself a
Tow Bar which didn't fit your Ford, would it be Fords problem to change
the car so the Tow bar fits or should it be up to the manufacturer of
the Tow bar to change the Tow bar to fix the car.

Same situation here, with SM Council producing a program which others
then produce Add-On's that third parties can add to program. Not
Councils problem to make sure SM works with Add-On, but *is* Add-On
writers duty to make sure that Add-On works, as advertised, with program.

IMHO, of course!

The issue is that I can't locate where the alerts are saved to clear them. The issue of not going to 2.8 until quote-collapse is working is a separate one, although I had hoped the compatibility add-in would have solved that.

Since both Lightning and Seamonkey are Mozilla projects I would have hoped they would work together, and that when a new weekly version comes out the Mozilla parts would still play together.
