*More info:* These reminders are in my Google calendar. So it appears that
Lightning is not doing anything useful, when the DISMISS or [DISMISS ALL]
options are used, the alerts remain on the screen, and show up every time SM is
started.
I have filed Bug 741190 (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=741190) on
this, requesting an option to ignore overdue alerts from read-only calendars.
