I've long used Mozilla Mail for my email, and have maintained the browser as a repository for Bookmarks. I want to shift both the email and bookmarks to new SeaMonkey (2.8) installations. I found two discussions of transferring email to SeaMonkey on the Forum, one from September 2008 and one from October, 2009. From those it looks like I may be able to transfer the files, manually, to new SM profiles or directories in a new profile. I see that automated transfer from prior installs of Moz or SM is impossible after SM 2.0. Can you point me to a good, current, source for the procedures I need to use to move this information to the new SM 2.8 installation? Or to additional discussions which might be useful in developing and using my own procedures?
The discussions I found are at http://groups.google.com/group/mozilla.support.seamonkey/browse_thread/thread/f1886cd300d18ba7/b8394b64fb8be189?lnk=gst&q=migrate+mozilla+email+to+seamonkey#b8394b64fb8be189 and http://groups.google.com/group/mozilla.support.seamonkey/browse_thread/thread/93e93d715db7a602/a5f5246624e1dde2?lnk=gst&q=migrate+mozilla+email+to+seamonkey#a5f5246624e1dde2 _______________________________________________ support-seamonkey mailing list [email protected] https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey
