Need a little help here.
I put the wrong user name in to a newsgroup and told seamonkey to remember it,
now I can't put the correct one in, just the password, which doesn't get me
anywhere because of the wrong user name.
I would expect the entry in password manager to be reset if the login fails,
assuming you provide a new value when prompted for retry. In any case, you can
go into password manager and just delete the bad information.
I'm assuming that you mean you log into a news server, I don't know how a group
would have a password, and the password manager is organized by site.
NOTE: if you are using a news server like eternal-september, it doesn't require
a password, it just doesn't let you access some groups without one. Since it
doesn't prompt in the NNTP protocol you need to check the "always send
authentication" feature when setting up the site.
