I experienced the same problem; all of my more than 250 message filters were changed (I don't know what caused it) to point to the same mail folder. Fortunately I do a synchronization with another computer every night, using Goodsync, so I was able to retrieve yesterday's copy of msgFilterRules.dat and get back to normal. Perhaps SM could store several iterations of this file and perhaps a selection to let the user revert to an old copy? Until this is fixed, I will save a copy of msgFilterRules.dat daily to be on the safe side.

TB spun a 11.0.1 release including a fix for that, we didn't (and AFAIK we're not planning to do so, but would probably include it if we had to do an oilspill release with security fixes for 2.8).
