Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Scripts & Plugins

..or else use the PrefBar, but select JavaScript instead of Java. Once 
again (seems like this info is written every day) Java and JavaScript are 
two separate and distinct things.

You don't have a Java plugin installed. The browser *does* have and use 
JavaScript. There's no plugin or add-on for that; it's standard equipment.
