Yep, that did it, and reenabling reinstated the issue.

I knew something had changed and there were no Windows updates recently.
I remembered that Adobe had updated something on Saturday, so I disabled the common plugins one at a time until it worked.
Let's hope the next Flash update corrects the problem.
