Mike Conley has been working in a new address book for Thunderbird (which, I imagine, will eventually be ported to Seamonkey). It's still a very very early prototype, but he's asking for feedback on the design: (probably a good idea, spot the design flaws before investing too much work on the actual code): <http://mikeconley.ca/blog/2012/09/26/a-glimpse-of-a-new-address-book-for-thunderbird/>
Do you know what he happens to believe is wrong with the present one ? I accept that developers are perfectly entitled to work on whatever takes their fancy, but all the while there are real bugs in the product set I would personally prefer it if more effort could be diverted to bug fixing and less to cosmetics.
