In general, if the entire world isn't complaining that Seamonkey can no longer handle Captchas, it is pretty safe to assume that Seamonkey /qua/ Seamonkey is not at fault and that your own customisation (intentional or otherwise) may well be to blame. Try safe mode, try a clean profile, try disabling everything; almost certainly one or more of these will work and disclose the root cause of your problem.
