Should have added that my profile folder doesn't have a searchplugins
folder, but I didn't check before posting my previous reply.
The searchplugins directory is in the program directory structure, not
in the profile.
You are correct.
Looking at that folder I see four search engines.
Google, Creative Commons, Wikipedia, and Yahoo.
Upon further investigation I found a Firefox like Search in
Customization, which after dragging and dropping next to the Navigation
Bar shows the four mentioned search engines. I then removed the Search
Button, by dragging and dropping it to Customization.
