Currently using User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:18.0) Gecko/18.0 SeaMonkey/2.15 Build identifier: 20121125151253

but my problem has been happening for a while!!

I have an e-mail account called "Mail". This is open at start-up!
I have a local folders account called "Local Folders"
I have a newsgroup account from my ISP's server called "Albury"
I have this news server on an account called "Mozilla"
I have my teranews.com news server (general Usenet groups) on an account called "Usenet" And I have my teranews.com account (via the numbers 69.16.185.252) on an account called "Linux"

When I open SM, I have it set to open both Chatzilla and the Mail & Newsgroup screens, and, even though the "Usenet" account is not expanded, SM goes off and updates the messages in each of the (40-odd) newsgroups.

Anybody think of a reason why one of my un-expanded news servers updates the message counts but the other three news servers do not?? (Note:- I would prefer *none* of them updated at this time!)

TIA

Daniel
