My Software Installation preference has the "Download and Install" check
box NOT checked. Nevertheless, SM 2.16 arrived without telling me and
forced installation "the next time you restart SM". Unless I never
turned SM off again, it was going in.
Don't misunderstand, I would have installed it anyhow, but only after
cleaning up and copying my profile first.
Just wondering why the preference was ignored.
