I saw the same thing earlier this year.  I don't remember what Web site
it was, but the pull-down context menu was taller than my monitor
screen.  The problem went away when a terminated SeaMonkey and rebooted
my PC.

I'm not seeing this at <http://www.nytimes.com> right now.  I suspect
this might be the result of the Times using transparent images, scripts,
or other artifacts in an attempt to defeat copying.
