It is very normal to include the account mail address when in a
newsgroup account, and it is also reasonable that you cannot change that
address field.

When you open an e-mail account, and have several available mail
accounts, you cna compose a new message, or reply to an existing
message, and change the sent mail address to one of the other account
addresses. But not when working in a newsgroup account.

If while in a newsgroup, I click Compose, a compose window opens, and is pre-addressed to that newsgroup. But, I can change the address to "To", and then the mail address book is active. Does that differ with what you said above?

Anyway, I almost did it again. If I open Compose while in an email account, and forget to address it, it is fail-safe; it goes nowhere. Do that in a newsgroup account, and it goes somewhere, but not necessarily where I want it to go. It seems that the system is trying to "help" me by inserting the newsgroup address, but I would rather it didn't.
