Try the following:

1. On the SeaMonkey menu bar, select [Edit> Preferences].

2. On the left side of the Preferences window under Category, select
[Appearance> Content].

3. On the Content pane, put a check mark in the checkbox for "Remember
zoom levels on per-site basis".

4. Select the OK button.

Thanks for the suggestions. Nothing is working so far (haven't tried the no squint.) Should have mentioned this is 2.014 on Win7. The content pane does not have a check box for "Remember zoom levels". It only has "Use smooth scrolling" whatever that is, "Resize large images to fit --", and "Zoom only text, not full page".

I hate Windows 7.
