Repeated the above for each of the remaining user names. 7. Checked each on the new PC and the transfer showed that the emails, address books, etc. were all in place on the new PC. I was "amazed" at the scope of the contents of each profile!! Hope the above is useful for any other SM user in the same situation that I was in. regards Cliff Brodie
Good to hear you achieved this, Cliff.First suggestion I'd make is that when I read step 5, I am confused as to if the SM is finding the profile on the flash drive and moving it onto the new computers HD or is it finding the profile on the flash drive and using it from there.
Suggestion 1 remove the flash drive and see if you can use any of the profiles!
and then...Suggestion 2 when you work out where the profiles are, switch to each profile, in SeaMonkey, in its turn and, in the e-mail screen select the e-mail account then File->Empty Trash and then File->Compact Folders. May reduce the total size of the four profiles from the former 15.1GB.
