Not at all. I have been using Bluefish (not to be confused with 
BlueGriffon) for years as my web pages' editor, and FileZilla for all FTP 
work for the same time period. Longer, actually. Bluefish is not lame at 
all.

Bluefish also has a built-in project manager, and the app is free.
