Occasionally I get malformed messages where the charset is unspecified or inappropriate to the content, so I have to manually select the correct encoding for proper display.

Lately, whenever I choose Unicode (UTF-7), not UTF-8, SeaMonkey has been returning the following error:

[JavaScript Application]

[Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80500001" [nsIMsgWindow.mailCharacterSet]" nsresult: "0x80500001 (<unknown>)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://messenger/content/shareglue.js :: MessengerSetForcedCharacterSet :: line 14" data: no]

[OK]

When I click OK, the error message disappears, but the message is still garbled, in a different way from before.

Any ideas?
