Also, when I click on the new Seamonkey, it says it is in "safe mode"
and there doesn't seem to be a way out of "safe mode." Is this something
to do with the password they are requesting?

mailboxes....which is vital and which I do very much need. A box also
keeps appearing asking me to enter some kind of administrator
password, and then another asking me for my earthlink password...
This has been happening for years, so that I've essentially never been
able to upgrade my Seamonkey and have to keep using the old version.
Please tell me how to upgrade so that it actually does upgrade, and
retains all my mailboxes and profile information, so that I can
actually use Seamonkey, rather than just adding separate new
Seamonkeys which I can't use because my mailboxes and all my mail etc.
did not migrate.
