Then why don't you quit using SeaMonkey and use Thunderbird instead?

I've tried Thunderbird, it doesn't work quite the same. I don't know if
the defaults are different and I can't get my preferences right or what.

Where TB seems to fall down for me is with the Password Manager, just like SM...except that it doesn't seem to have the annoying ignore pref settings problems that I'm plagued with in SM. I'm not really sure why TB has a Password Manager in the first place, really...seeing as there's no associated Browser.

But speaking for OS X, you can set up TB to work like SM Mail/News - at least I have been able to do so. And it compliments Safari *very* nicely as far as the interface look and feel go. You just have to launch both at the same time, but you can set up and Automator scrip to do it at once, if you want to.

I use Apple Mail.app as my primary e-mail client as it is, so either of TB or SM only get used for reading news-ing.
