Could you provide more details about what the problem is? Thanks.

Someone here said this is a known bug, it was introduced after SM 2.13.2
- when the Master Password prompt dialog is presented the bottom edge is
drawn short and the buttons run off the bottom edge. I think it's a Mac
only bug, SM Modern Theme.

It's further aggravated by the fact that SM is ignoring my pref setting
for request for Master Password, so when that random request happens I
then also have to look at this problem as well - the combination of the
two bugs together is four times as annoying.

So I've halted at 2.13.2 on the machines I use most and only keep up
with the latest on my laptop...just to keep up with what hasn't been
addressed. At least I only have to deal with the random Master requests
in 2.13.2.

But it occurred to me that maybe I could fix it in userChrome.css - can I?

Windows XP SP3
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:24.0) Gecko/20100101 SeaMonkey/2.21
SeaMonkey Default Theme 2.21

I don't see that problem. Thus, your conjecture that this is limited
only to Macs or the combination of a Mac and the Modern Theme is quite
likely correct.

Have you tried the Default Theme for your version of SeaMonkey?

Yes, I have tried the Default Theme but I find it so objectionable that I'd sooner just switch to using Safari...I really don't like the "playskool" look of the colored buttons...or their size...or shape...or much else about the look and feel of the Default Theme.

I invoked the Default Theme and re-checked just now, and what *is* interesting is that the Default Theme uses what looks like the OS X System look with Aqua buttons for the Master Password drop down - and it is drawn completely and correctly.

*BUT* - the look of it totally clashes with the rest of the SM Theme...the color of the prompt pane doesn't even match the color of the SM Browser window background, and the buttons in it use the System default colors...which don't match anything in the the SM presentation. Which is now another more reason for me to prefer SM Modern and hate the Default Theme.

So something is messed up with the SM Modern Theme on the Mac version as far as drawing this dialog goes...but back to my original question - can I fix it via userChrome.css or not?
