Restarting SeaMonkey didn't help.

How should that be possible? If your XUL.mfl does not exist, then there
is no XUL cache file in your profile which could be deleted for testing.

That you could not find a XUL.mfl was the reason to mention the
existence of nglayout.debug.disable_xul_cache. It was not meant to
suggest adding the pref. ;)

OK, so what /am/ I supposed to do?

Setting this pref to true for a trunk SM has helped to avoid strange
things happen sometimes. For the same reason i do only use a small
number of add-ons. They tend to break on trunk. *g*

Next?

I do not see your problem on trunk SM Linux x86_64 under Modern.

Good for you. But I don't have Linux. And as noted upthread, I'm using the SeaMonkey Default Theme 2.22. So what am I supposed to do?
