SM 2.23 - There is a very narrow pane at the bottom of the screen with
five tiny icons starting on the left with "Browser", "Mail &
Newsgroups", "Composer", etc. If I click on "Windows" at the top of the
screen and then click on "Browser" at the top, I see the pane at the
bottom of the screen with all of the icons. However, if I then click on
"Mail & Newsgroups" at the top, the pane at the bottom is still there
but it contains no icons. IOW the pane is blank. If I click on
"Composer" or "Address Book", the icons are there. They only disappear
when I click on "Mail & Newsgroups" at the top. Is there something I can
set in Preferences or about:config to get the icons in the bottom pane
back? I looked in Preferences but nothing there strikes me as obvious.
This only happens on one of my Profiles (then one I normally use). I
don't have the problem on any of the other profiles. I am guessing that
I hit a series of key strokes that brought this on and am now trying to
figure out how to revert back to normal.
That's the status Bar. In View menu click on status bar Many people
think it’s a PIA and the developer have tore its guts out of recent
version just to claim that 1/8 of an inch or real estate and
Status-4-Ever was created to allow it to be put back. I think status bar
come close to being the greatest thing since sliced bread. And use
Status-4-Ever.
I have some extension that will only work in the status bar and nowhere
else. And I find those valuable to me.

The weather tracking software will not work except in Status-Bar
