When I try to add the third news server to the Seamonkey 2.24 there is
just a big mess instead. The second server name is being changed to
the
name of the new server. Anyway there is no way to access any
newsgroups
through this account - groups subscribed on the second server
neither to
subscribe new groups on the new server. Seen this on Win XP SP3.
Same with SM2.17.1 on Win 7.
Examined this matter a little bit deeper today and it seems that there
is just a big mess with adding a news server. No matter if it's the
third one or the first one. I have removed all news servers and tried to
add one from the beginning and Seamonkey hanged etc.
Did you try the workaround in the Known Issues section of the release
notes?

I didn't know that I need to read release notes before adding new news
server :-)

Every user needs to read release notes for every application they install or update.

You learn what is new, changed and known issues.
