A quick visit to my search engine finds: <http://support.earthlink.net/articles/tools/earthlink-newsgroups-faq.php> ..where it also says, in case this applies to you: "Newsgroup access is limited to customers who opened accounts prior to December 2013." They appear to be somewhat crippled.
