When I type in an item to search, the response is that it is not a valid
web site. Under edit, internet search, the listings for search engines
is blank, and he icons for check search engines and list search engines
do not work.

Hi Walt,
You called it. I had some transfer work done on my PC, and the corrupted
profile is now full blown. I'll try to get the profile corrected.
