New observation for SM 2.26 - this works now if I open the Folder
containing the Alias and launch directly from the Alias by double-click.
However, if I attempt to launch using the Alias from the Dock Folder
Grid presentation of my Favorites Folder - it does not work. SM
launches and I get a blank page as initially documented in the bug.
My understanding is that there won't be a 2.27 release but a 2.26.1
release so it's possible your issue might be fixed there.
What I see now looks like a partial fix to the original bug as written,
so I at least get the impression that some sort of progress has been
made...and that my initial wondering why using the Profile Manager had
anything to do with it is still a question in my mind.
The above behavior was noted without the PM being invoked at startup - I
should probably check and see what happens with the PM invoked at startup.
