Maybe no one has worked on it for a bit, but they did look into it
enough to tell me to stop using the Profile Manager.
This is actually also related to bug 724293, and I think was split off
from it by the developers...or the other way around, I can't recall.
Anyway, I've updated both bugs and the behavior I'm observing now is
different from what I observed when I fist wrote the bug(s) and amounts
to a partial fix - so something has been done. It's a basic OS X
interface problem, so if someone is cleaning up those then they are
likely also fixing this problem by default.
