Sorry, forgot to add that I *do* realise that the Firefox redirect is not standard and that I can reset it easily. I normally use linux, but I've been using Windows the past few days to troubleshoot some LibreOffice issues and have been using both FF and SM in the process. My point was/is that entering arbitrary 'searches' in the URL address bar is, IMO a security issue overall.
