SeaMonkey updated to 2.29 on Sept 9.

Just tried to play a Flash video at nbc.com and SM said I needed to
install a plugin. I let proceed and closed SM when the installer said
to. Restarted SM. Went to add-ons manager, no Flash plugin, only
Quicktime.

Uninstalled SM. Downloaded full installer from Mozilla. Installed. Ran
Flash installer. Firefox has the Flash plugin, SM does not. Anyone
else?

Works fine for me. NBC has zero problems running a video full screen
with no controls showing at the bottom.

You sure you installed the correct Flash Player ...the one for all
browsers except IE? Check it here:

http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html

Try to install from here:

http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html

Interesting note on that page:
"Flash Player 11.2 is the *last* supported Flash Player version for
Linux OS."

The same applies to Solaris. While Solaris seeing only security updates
from here on is kind of obvious, the same cannot be said for Linux.
Colour me surprised.

I'd be interested to note what number of SeaMonkey installations are on
OS X versus Linux. I think that's a relevant metric of comparison.

Every one has to remember: Mac OSX is "FreeBSD Unix under the hood not
Linux.

It is not germane to this discussion, Phillip.
